The First Rule
at Encore Motors is the Golden Rule - to treat others as I would want to be
treated. Here are just a few things that make Encore Motors different from
buying just any car from just an ordinary car dealer.
-
Allen Hand Picks Everything!
At Encore, I don't buy cars just to have inventory. It has to make sense
economically, and has to meet all of the requirements that I have in
mind. Those requirements include, but are not limited to: History -
where has this car been? Was it owned by someone who cared, or was it
just
transportation? Is the Carfax or Autocheck history OK? I'm not
going to throw a nice car away, simply because it has a painted panel -
BUT does everything else add up? Any service history? And who is my
seller? Do they know how particular I am? These things may not seem like
much - but don't you want to know them? The sum total of all these
things - combined with the emotional impact of a "right" car - is what
makes them worth owning. Big city car dealers must "turn units" to cover
hundreds of thousands of dollars in fixed costs every month. Not here!
-
Everything Gets Driven!
And more than around the block.
The only way that you can really tell what's up with a car is to
DRIVE IT!
And that means hot, cold, wet, dry, little trips and long ones. At
Encore Motors, you can be assured that I have been behind the wheel of
every car sold. This is the way we make sure what works, what needs to
be serviced, cleaned or replaced. Most big city used car hacks just
rinse them off, put a sticker in the window, and off they go. Don't you
want more information than that? Sure you do!
- I
Want Every Car To Look And Drive The Best That It Can.
That's why I fix just about everything. If you will look at my cars, you
will not see worn or mismatched tires. and you won't see wheels with
curb marks. You won't see door dings or dirty floor mats. Your car will
have the right books and keys that it should. If they are available to
me - and I will chase them down - I will provide every bit of
documentation that I can, and pass it on to you. I take great pride in
my friends and customers driving cars that are several years old, and
people stopping to complement them on their "new" car.
- References.
Check out our "Testimonials" page on my website. When you realize the
experience that others have had here, you will feel comfortable too. We
have dozens of customers that I have never met in person. They came to
me from others who know that I always "under-promise" and "over
deliver". I want to sleep well at night, and that is the only way.
See Golden Rule,
above.
- Everything at
Encore Motors makes economic sense.
Whether it's a $120,000 car, or a $10,000
car, I want to make sure it makes sense. That is, can you drive it,
enjoy it, and stay reasonably liquid in it? That's smart car buying. We
Let others take the huge depreciation on new cars, and I always
encourage a customer to think about when it might be time to trade
again. This is smart business financially. Have you ever heard your
big-city car dealer tell you that? Neither have I!
- I Don't Set
Ridiculously High Asking Prices And Move Thousands of Dollars.
I do my best to set a realistic price from the beginning, and to be as
reasonable with the customer as I can. If a dealer asks you for a price -
and immediately offers to sell it to you for thousands less - what does
that tell you? They are willing to take advantage of you, if you will
let them. Here, I do my best to set reasonable prices based on the
market conditions, and to let you know why I think that price is
realistic. Same way with your trade. I'll show you what's really going
on.
- No Silly Add On
Fees or Crazy "Doc" Fees.
I charge a minimal price to do your paperwork, it's not that complex.
But it must be right and it will be.
- Finally
-
Car
Ownership from Encore Motors Is Fun! Buying a car, especially one of my
type cars, shouldn't be a chore. It should be a great day! I always do
my best to make the process enjoyable and memorable, even if you're just
visiting out town for an hour or so. We also have great camaraderie
among our owners, vendors and friends, and want you to be a part of it.
Do you really want to spend tens of thousands of dollars and not have
FUN?!
A good
friend once told one of my new customers, "Allen knows his cars intimately".
And that's a compliment I appreciate.
Remember -
there are "people in the car business" and there are "car people". You
want the latter - the kind of person who loves the sound, smell and looks of
a fine automobile, in the kind of condition it deserves to be in. That's me.
