A really nice inexpensive 911! You are right, there are not many left. I have spent the last 4 months or so repairing, cleaning, testing and sorting out this car. Here's a quick summary: We have had the tranny rebuilt by the Southeast's premier rebuilder, and installed a new clutch, and of course, while we are there, an updated IMS kit, oil separator, and two new front CV's and boots. I have also updated the wheels to the 996.2 5 spokes, and had them refinished and powder coated, and installed a new set of Pirelli P Zeros (and new lug bolts). The paint and trim looks really good, and the top has been recently replaced and works smoothly. AC is very cold and all the peripherals work properly too. She also has a new battery and the original Becker radio too. I'm posting this now because inexpensive 911s are getting SO hard to find, especially from a Porsche person. For those who have never bought a Porsche, it often takes a lot of time to get it done....so here's your heads up. This is a ton of fun and looks for not a lot of $$. I am a 40 year Porsche geek, and speak and understand the language. You can certainly buy a 996 for much less money--but remember that the MOST expensive Porsche you can buy is the CHEAPEST one--and that doesn't take into account the time, frustration, and aggravation that is takes to sort them out. This car will give you lots of reliable enjoyment for a long time. Call me, I'll be glad to give you a hard walkaround. She is on my showroom awaiting your arrival.
